Enjoy sunbathing in the beautiful Adriatic Sea in a quiet cove. The staff at Villa Jagodna are exceptional and are always happy to help with any questions. The restaurant served up some of the best dishes we’ve had during our stay!

The place was a dream! Our room was right above the water, with a beautiful view of the cove. The hosts, Ana and her father, as well as all the staff were the nicest people. The food was amazing! Breakfast buffet with freshly made eggs on request was great, but the dinner was next level — we had freshly caught fish, squid and other seafood grilled or made in a traditional fisherman way. I wish we could have stayed longer. Flawless.

Everything! I have stayed at Villa Jagodna 4 times now and I will continue to go back year after year. The service from Ana, Peter and Team is fantastic, the private beach is perfect swimming, relaxing and snorkeling. The rooms are very comfy and the included breakfast is superb.

Great food, feels like home cooking. Could not be nicer or more accommodating. We toured the island one day and honestly would have preferred to just lay in their beach chairs all day again instead.
Disliked · It’s a few kilometers from town. 80 kuna taxi ride is reasonable if you use their recommended taxis. No need to leave the hotel, but it’s 15 minutes drive to town.

We loved this place!! A little taste of paradise. Secluded, charming, relaxing, fantastic service, friendly, generous and just utterly terrific!! Told us which taxi to get from town, arrival drink, room upgrade, friendly and generous service. Facilities were amazing, kayaks, snorkelling gear and a pizza beach. This was our favourite place on our long trip around Croatia. Thanks Ana and Peter. We will be back!

Peter and Ana are perfect hosts for their family run villa located in a gorgeous bay not far from the main town of Hvar. So one can retreat from the hustle and bustle of the ferry port where you arrive, but still have it accessible via short taxi. Be sure to take advantage of their relationship with a particular taxi operator, who charges far less money than the much pricier generic taxis located by the market and bus terminal. Bring plenty of kunas, because they do not accept credit cards for the personalized lunches and dinners they craft and provide. So, visit an ATM machine at a bank in Hvar port before going to the Hvar Villa. The Villa and its exquisite bay are so serene, restful, and beautiful you may not want to go back to the Hvar port often. You need to tell Peter or Ana in advance if you want them to prepare you lunch or dinner. At dinner they have a nice display where one can select which fish or beef piece you want them to grill over fire-flamed barbecue. They tend to have more fish selections so if you desire beef a particular night arrive early for the 7:00 pm sitting. Pay the money to get a bay/ocean view room; it is worth every penny. They have several alternative waterfront alcoves where you can sunbathe but also receive some sun protection. Be sure to borrow one of the oneman or two-person kayaks to paddle around their idyllic bay. Thank you again Peter and Ana from your California visitors and friends! We have travelled for 6 weeks in Western to Eastern Europe during April-May 2019 and this was the only gem where there was SUN! Yea, Hvar and Villa Jagodna! It probably is safer weather wise to travel to Hvar in prime June-August, but of course there will be more tourists to compete with.

It was such a peaceful, quiet & beautiful setting. Anna & Petar (the owners) were wonderful! They went out of their way to help us out- Anna helped us book ferry tickets to Dubrovnik and printed them off for us & Petar helped us carry our luggage up the stairs when checking out. They kept our baggage on the day of check out & allowed us to use their facilities while we waited for our 6:40 pm ferry from Hvar to Dubrovnik. We didn’t leave the resort to explore hvar as we felt we had everything here! Gorgeous view of the sea from our room on our balcony. The sea was turquoise, it was paradise here. Access to waterfront that had loungers under shaded cabanas & kayaks. The breakfast which was included with booking.com was wonderful! Wide variety of teas & juice and coffee, fresh breads, cereal, fruit, tomatoes, cheese, olives and meats, yogurt & you can order eggs which are included as well (omelettes, scrambled, over easy) The service at the restaurant is impeccable! Very nice family owned resort. Will definitely recommend to our family & friends.
It was 5kms from hvar & very twisty windy roads so not a good idea to walk to hvar but they have a deal with the taxi company called sun city who charged 80 kuna ($16.80 CAD) one way (which is twice as cheap as other companies) The dinner buffet was quite good but expensive (around 280 kuna/ person which is about $60 CAD plus any drinks you order) Also, I recommend bringing some food/drinks/alcohol with you as they are not open for lunch and snacks.
