We stayed for 5 nights during our honeymoon and Villa Jagodna was perfect! It’s set in a beautiful, quiet bay with turquoise waters and Villa Jagodna has been finished to a high standard. The restaurant and bar area are situated with an incredible view over the bay and there are sunbeds right on the water’s edge on their own rock platforms which make it feel like your own private area. The food was amazing (fresh fish cooked on the fire every night and the best homemade olive oil) and all the staff incredibly friendly. Ana, the owner and manager was simly a delight. Guests are free to use the kayaks which were great fun to explore the bay. We’ll definitely be recommending it to all of our friends.

Amazing place! Booked for 2nts & stayed for 3! Did not want to leave! If you are looking for tranquility, relaxation & chilled vibes then this is where you need to stay! Ana & Petre were fantastic hosts. We ate in the property for the entire 4days, were allowed keep our room until evening ferry without even having to ask, & allowed to leave without paying bill (no ATM on property so taxi man returned payment to property for us when he dropped us to ferry-again, we didn’t even have to ask for this!). Property is pristine-literally spotless! Buffet dinner also exceptional, fresh fish barbecued in front of your eyes. Free use of kayaks a nice touch also. My favourite thing was the private sunbathing areas all along the coastline, padded loungers & a real sense of isolation-amazing! Loved our time here-thank you!

This place is utterly charming and quite magical in a beautifully unspoilt and secluded natural location. The owners are a delightful warm family who really care about their guests enjoyment and it is rather like being a guest in their home. There are no menus, but wonderful fresh fish or meat to choose and have cooked outside on wood for you and served on a delightful terrace overlooking the gardens and sea below. It is quiet and secluded with private sunbathing spots with shade and each with ladder access straight into the crystal clear sea. It’s only 10 – 15 minutes to Hvar Town by car. The breakfasts are healthy and fresh. The accommodation ( we had a two bedroom apartment) was simple, comfortable, and very clean, with a small balcony to enjoy the beautiful views and amazing sunsets. XXX

Location (perfect beach with your own private shade and comfy beach chair with enough privacy which was important to us), 10 min drive from Hvar city for evening fun. The hosts are excellent – it’s a family run enterprise and I cannot say enough nice things about them. They will make you feel right at home! Beautiful front porch overlooking the bay for evening chill with a local wine, very good food (fresh fish or meat that you can handpick, plenty of diverse and excellent side dishes, free range chicken eggs for breakfast), in short – a perfect place for a quiet vacation and good rest! Highly recommended! If I have to mention anything, I would say the beds were not that comfy, but nothing to be alarmed about…

Ana and her team were lovely. The hotel is in a peaceful spot on a lively island. Best of both worlds! Lazing by the sea by day and a great selection of restaurants and bars a 10 minute drive away. Hvar is a stunning little town.

The map on the website link from booking.com was very hard to find the property, I suggest making up a map you can email anyone who books a room. GPS sent us a wrong way and we lost 30 minutes trying to find the property. The dinner was excellent and the water was amazing, great staff very helpful!

The location is of incredible natural beauty. The country hotel is located at a stunning secluded bay making the most of the pleasant surroundings. When you visit Hvar this where you want to spend most of your time, the view it’s amazing, the food is great, you can go for a swim in the splendid bay, sunbathe with the sound of the see or go kayaking with the hotel equipment. I have to say that most of the stars will have to be for Ana! with an amazing care she will help you with anything you need, she is lovely, polite, profesional, hard working, attentive and incredibly efficient.

This place is paradise. Nice to get away from the main town and chill out in total peace and quiet. Only wish we could have spent more time here. Peter and his daughter anna are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much for them even allowing us to stay in our room for the whole day as our ferry to korcula was not leaving until 6.00pm and Peter also kindly drove us into town for the ferry. Would thoroughly recommend this place to everyone who enjoys time out while travelling.

We absolutely loved the location. It was peaceful, relaxing you could hear the water lapping onto the shoreline from our bedroom. We loved the family produced, olive oil, wine, all the authentic food. The host Petar, Ana were extremely gracious, warm and very competent. Nothing was ever too much to ask. It has been the highlight of our trip. In fact we just enjoyed staying there rather than driving into the town of Hvar. We had 4 nights and we wished we had 10 days. The Croatian people are very creative and self sufficient especially on the island of Hvar. For us Australians, Villa Jagodna was a great place to meet other travellers, on our last night we shared Petar’s own beautiful homemade wine with others guests from Scotland, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, and other Croatians.

Wonderful family run hotel.Pristine sea front location with sea kayaks included.Excellent breakfast with cheeses, meats, breads & eggs to order. We ate our dinners here as well. The fresh grilled fish was delicious& antipasto course terrific also. They produce their own olive oil & wine & sent some home with us!

The villa is set in the most perfect location, a 5 minute drive from Hvar town, in its own private bay, with balconies and seating areas overlooking the azure waters. Ana was a great host during meals, which themselves were fresh and fantastic, cooked over an open fire. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Just a heavenly place, we were so sad to leave! From now on every place we stay at will have to live up to Villa Jagodna. Can’t see that happening!

We stayed at villa Jagodna for three nights and enjoyed it 100%. The hosts, Petar and Ana are wonderful people and do whatever it takes to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are rather on the basic side but very clean and comfortable. The setting of the Villa is absolutely beautiful and grounds are very nice with a lot places to seat outside and have a glass of wine or swim. The food is out of this world. We had a seafood dinner twice and liked it very much. Thank you Petar and Ana!

For half the price of the fancy 5 star resorts you get better food and better views. The owners runs everything there and are very proud people. The food was excellent but the highlight was the water.

This review is a little late, but this was a highlight of my trip last year in June. The food was delicious and the view/location amazing. Just heaven. I would love to stay here again. I would recommend having a car to reach this location and to get around.

This was our favourite stay of our time in Croatia. We have never eaten at our hotels always aim to go out into the towns/villages. However the hosts and the food couldn’t be more perfect. The food is some of the best we have ever eaten. The room we had is basic but clean and comfortable with a great view. But what makes it is the swimming platforms a jump into the sea. The sea is crystal clear and very safe. We know already we will go back.

My girlfriend and I just spent 4 amazing nights at Villa Jagodna and I can’t recommend it highly enough. When we first took the taxi to the villa, we were a bit worried at the distance from the town, but when we saw the beautiful cove that we were entering, we soon got over it. The villa is located in a quiet and stunning bay, with crystal clear waters and an incredible view. The staff, from the moment we arrived, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It is a family run business and Peter and his daughter Ana, went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stay. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, with our room having a balcony overlooking the bay. We had read the reviews about the food beforehand so booked dinner the first night, we were not disappointed! After soup and a selection of salads and cold meat/fish, you are invited to pick your main course from a selection of fresh fish, shellfish and steaks they have bought that day. This is then cooked to order on the massive open fire and served to your table. It was fabulous and some of the best food of our trip, so much so that we ate their 2 more evenings. There is also a complimentary selection of homemade Grappas, they range in strength from strong to WOW! Try them at your own risk… Breakfasts are also excellent and include cereals, breads, fruit and eggs cooked to order. Although there is no beach as such, the rocky outcrop that leads down to the water has been carefully flattened to create 10 individual covered areas, each with its own steps into the water. It is cleverly done and we did not miss a beach at all. The water was a little chilly in June, but you soon got used to it. They also have a number of sea kayaks to borrow at no extra cost. We went out one afternoon and paddled to the next cove along, where there is a caravan park, with a lovely beach and bar. It can get a little choppy though, so be careful if you aren’t a strong swimmer.  The only slight downside of Villa Jagodna is the cost of getting in and out of Hvar. Expect to pay the equivalent of about £20 each way. We hired a car one day to explore the island, which was great fun, if not a little scary! Peter and Ana will also try and give you a lift into town if they can. This is only a small issue however and I would happily return to this lovely hidden gem.

Me and my partner spent 2 nights here and half an hour into the stay, we were already planning when we could come back! We also got upgraded to an apartment at no extra cost due to a cancellation- great customer service. Welcome drink was offered on arrival at no charge as we arrived a little early. The location is around 10 minutes by taxi out of Hvar town, but taxis are easily arranged and the hotel staff were always happy to sort this for you. The location of the villa is stunning, it has a private cove with lovely little ‘huts’ along the water with sun loungers and steps down into the super clear water. These are spaced far enough apart to give privacy. There are also kayaks which can be used by hotel guests for no charge which makes for a good time! We ate breakfast here and had 1 lunch and 1 evening meal. The breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the water which is beautiful and the food selection is good. Lunch is a lovely buffet with meats and salad etc.- again good selection and just want you want given the hot weather. We ate once here in the evening due to the other reviews and it did not disappoint- gorgeous fresh fish and steaks cooked to order on the bbq was just perfect and great quality. Also, on the last night we were given a complimentary bottle of home produced dessert wine and some lavender oil- such a nice gesture and a lovely surprise. The staff are outstanding- so willing to help. On our last day, we were leaving early so Ana sorted us a generous packed breakfast to take for the journey. Unfortunately, we missed the morning ferry off Hvar to Split (doh!) and there were no others ferries until the afternoon meaning we would miss our flight. However, within 10 minutes Ana had arranged a private speed boat for us to get us to Split on time- we couldn’t be happier and can’t thank her enough for her calmness and efficiency in rectifying the situation (which of course was absolutely our own fault!). She went absolutely above and beyond and that’s what makes this place so special.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We have just returned from four days holiday at Villa Jagodna. What a location. What fantastic service. The villa is located over looking a lovely quiet bay and the staff including the owners could not be more helpful. The rooms are basic but perfectly clean and everything you need is there including good air con. Our room overlooked the bay and sea as did the restaurant and garden areas. The individual sun bathing areas created on the rocks leading directly into the sea are perfect for quiet relaxing sunbathing and create a feeling of privacy. One of the highlights of the holiday for us was the excellent evening barbeque with freshly sourced fish and meat. Excellent value don’t miss it!! I would highly recommend Villa Jagodna to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in a beautiful location with perfect hosts.

Room Tip: Room 5 excellent view, plenty of room and a large balcony.

Villa Jagodna is in a stunning position, you are virtually hanging over the gorgeous coloured waters of the bay. You are looked after by the owner Pieter and his daughter Ana so sincerely and attentively, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast and evening meals are all served on beautifully set white table clothes and are so relaxed with buffet style home produced delicious food and wine with the main course in the evening freshly barbequed for you. We loved our very relaxing and peaceful time there, they so deserve their 5* rating.
