Brusje Heritage
Museum
Welcome to our family museum!
The collection is located in the picturesque village of Brusje, in the tavern of our family house which dates back to 1730, at the address Mandrać 15, 21454 Brusje.
We are proud to announce that the doors of our family museum are now open to visitors of our Villa Jagodna, as well as to all those visiting our sunniest island, Hvar.
We created the museum in memory of our late grandmother Ana and grandfather Marin. Grandfather Marin was a passionate collector of antiques, gathering them throughout his entire life, from his early youth, during his time in El Shatt on the Sinai Peninsula (1944-1946), where he taught the evacuated Dalmatian population and continuing into his late years. He was the owner of several collections of registered petrified marine shells.
In our museum you will find prehistoric fragments and daggers, Various Venetian vessels, a coin of Emperor Hadrian from 134-138 AD, the ceremonial uniform of an officer of the cavalry guard of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and many other exhibits that hold an important place in the cultural and historical heritage of the development of our island and the entire region.
We look forward to your visit.
